What You Should Know Before You Buy

Quilts are as varied as their makers, and as complex to describe. We have attempted to categorize our quilts to make your browsing easier but please contact us if you don’t find the quilt you had in mind. We produce new works regularly and even accept commissions.

All the quilts available from Joy’s Workshop are made with the finest materials, including 100% cotton thread, fabric, backing, and batting. Our fabric is purchased in person, so we can ensure there are more threads per inch, that the look and feel is rich, and that colors are vibrant and will stay that way.

Stitching is done by long-arm machine, an artform in itself. In recent years, pieces entered for judging at quilt shows use this method exclusively, as the quilts produced are sturdier and withstand time better than those sewn by hand. Both cut-and-sewn block and applique quilts are available.
